Mary Wood Bailey

Mary died on October 7, 1645, at the age of fifty-four. Her headstone reads: “In Memory of Mary ye Wife of Lieutenant Thomas Bailey died October 1745 in ye 54th year of her age.” She died two weeks after her youngest son, implying they died from an infectious disease. Two of her living children were still minors at her death. Her daughter, Mary, the youngest child, was just shy of her twelfth birthday.
